Welcome to the official website of the Department of Procurement and Supplies Services formerly called Central Government Stores, a Malawi Government department under the Office of the President and Cabinet. The department's Headquarters offices are located behind Road Traffic Directorate premises along Chirambula road in Area 4, Lilongwe.

Notice: All manual procedures for ordering stock such as toner, office paper, Malawi national flags, paper clips, flip charts, ball pens, pencils, chalk, and etc from the department are being automated to meet customer demands as quickly as possible. Our customers will order stock online. Progress of this exciting news will be posted periodically on this website. Therefore, you are encouraged to continue visiting the website to avoid missing out this important notice.

Our Mandate

Procure & resale stock
The department, established through the Act of Parliament General Notice No.127 of 1968 Fund Order, is mandated to procure various commonly used stock such as toner, office paper, Malawi national flags, ball pens, pencils, chalk, and etc and resale them to Ministries, Departments and Agencies.

Common service
The department is mandated to support and guide procurement and supplies officers across the Malawi Government, commonly known as common service. This includes helping with recruitment, training, and ensuring that officers follow the right procedures when buying, managing, and disposing off public resources.
